| Tell us about Yourself | |
| I help coordinate a diverse group of Boy Scouts, Venturers and Sea Scouts across Central Texas. They are committed to preserving the natural resources and history of the communities they live in. The boys and girls range in age from 11 - 21 and many have extensive training in areas of leave no trace camping, living history, resource management, event planning, early childhood education and a variety of pioneering skills. They are trained in conservation and plant and wildlife management. They have participated in conservation projects across the nation and in both the US and Canada. |

| Statewide Preservation Plan Connection | |
| We seek to serve our community and show young people that they can make a difference in the community they live in. Through hands on hard work and sweat equity we have proven it doesn't take a lot of money to accomplish big things. This group of kids travel all over the state, sharing with them the history and unique natural resources of their home community. They advocate with youth groups and encourage them to learn and promote their own local histories. They encourage the community to be proud of and preserve our local histories. They believe in sound conservation principals and the idea that knowing about our history makes for a better future. Through community service projects they provide leadership and hands on work in that preservation process. They have built trails, repaired access to historic structures, served as docents at historic sites and educated thousands of youth on how to treat historic resources when discovered. |
